NSS
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a government-sponsored public service initiative under the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Established in
1969, during Mahatma Gandhi’s centenary year, NSS aims to foster social consciousness and personality development among students through community service. Affiliated with Bangalore North University, NSS provides a platform for young volunteers to work towards uplifting underprivileged and marginalized sections of society. Guided by dedicated program officers, NSS promotes campus-community linkages, encouraging students to contribute meaningfully to society while cultivating personal goals and a sense of responsibility towards the community.
Participating in NSS activities provides students at the college with valuable exposure and
hands-on experience. As active members, volunteers gain the opportunity to develop into:
● Accomplished social leaders
● Efficient administrators
● Individuals with a deep understanding of human nature
To build the youth with the spirit and mind to serve society and work for the social upliftment of the downtrodden
