Commerce Department Hosts Mutual Fund Awareness Programme

The Department of Commerce of Don Bosco College, KR Puram organized the ‘SEBI–Mirae Mutual Fund Investor Awareness Programme: Building Financially Confident Young Women,’ on 23 January 2026. The programme was conducted for first- and second-year girl students to promote financial literacy and investment awareness.

The session was led by Mr. Suhas Rajput, a SEBI Smart Trainer and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Proficient Minds, an HR training and recruitment organization based in Belagavi, and Track on Travellers, an online travel assistance venture in Hyderabad. He addressed students on financial planning, money management, mutual funds, investment options, risk assessment, and long-term financial planning.

The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Twinkle (F&A–B). Students participated in the session through questions and discussions. The Head of the Department presented a token of appreciation to the resource person at the end of the session. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Riya Reffi (F&A–A.
