Don Bosco College observed the Kannada Rajyotsava Celebrations from 1 to 14 November 2025, focusing on the linguistic and cultural heritage of Karnataka. The programme opened on 1 November with a flag hoisting ceremony led by the Principal.
Over the course of two weeks, the college hosted several literary, cultural, and arts events. These included Essay Writing, Debate, Speech on Karnataka and Culture, Solo Singing, Pick and Speak, Poetry Writing, Poster Making, Quiz, the Karnataka Food Festival, and Anthakshari.
The valedictory programme on 14 November 2025 featured Shri B. A. Basavaraj, MLA, as Chief Guest, and Shri P. J. Anthony Swami as Guest of Honour. The guests were received in a traditional procession that included a unicycle act, Dollu Kunitha, Kamsale, and students carrying the Kalasa.
During the programme, the college launched the Don Bosco Kannada Rajyotsava Award 2025, instituted to recognise contributions to social transformation through education. The first recipient was Mr. Anand C., Director of Shishu Mandir, acknowledged for supporting the education of over 100 Don Bosco College students and facilitating opportunities for more than 300 schoolchildren.
Students presented cultural performances, including Dollu Kunitha, Kamsale, Yakshagana, Koolatta, and a cultural fashion show. Prize winners from the various competitions held during the celebrations were felicitated. The celebrations concluded with the completion of all scheduled events and the distribution of prizes.
