Welcome to the Department of Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) at Don Bosco College, K R Puram, Bengaluru, affiliated with Bengaluru North University.
Established in 2022 with an initial intake of 60 students, our department has grown significantly, doubling its capacity to 120 students in just one year. This growth reflects our commitment to providing quality education and creating an environment where students can thrive academically and personally.
At the heart of our department is the holistic development of students, guided by Don Bosco’s preventive system of education. We prioritize nurturing the intellectual, ethical, and personal growth of every student.
The BCA program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with a strong foundation in computer science, programming, and modern technological trends. It is one of the highly demanding courses in today’s world as it has very good career opportunities in various sectors. Graduates of our program have diverse job opportunities in fields such as artificial intelligence, software development, web development, data analysis, network administration, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
To ensure our students are industry-ready, we have integrated placement training into our program in collaboration with leading software companies.
We are proud of the vibrant and dynamic community we have built within the BCA department and are committed to preparing our students for a bright future in the ever-evolving tech industry.

To further enhance their industry readiness, we encourage students to pursue certification courses alongside their regular curriculum. This initiative has resulted in our final-year students building impressive portfolios with multiple certifications and hands-on projects, preparing them for a bright future in the IT sector.
Internships and Industry Readiness
- Practical exposure is a cornerstone of our educational philosophy. Two students secured offline internships at Christ Global Public School, gaining valuable real-world experience. Additionally, our final-year students have completed numerous online internships, further sharpening their technical and professional skills.
Research Contributions
- Our students excel in research activities, with notable accomplishments such as winning First Prize in the National-Level Student Paper Presentation at Garden City University.
