On March 13, 2025, Don Bosco College, KR Puram, organized a session titled ‘SWAYAM for Educators: Enhancing Teaching Through Digital Learning’ as part of its role as a Local Chapter of SWAYAM, the Government of India’s digital learning initiative.
Dr. D. Raja Jebasingh, Associate Professor & Research Supervisor and former Vice Principal of St. Joseph’s College of Commerce (Autonomous), Bengaluru, served as the resource person. He provided an overview of the SWAYAM platform, its course offerings, and its integration into teaching methodologies. The session covered the use of SWAYAM’s MOOC courses in academic curricula, faculty development opportunities, and digital learning strategies.
The event aimed to familiarize educators with online resources for curriculum enrichment, skill development, and research. Faculty members and participants engaged in discussions on leveraging digital tools for academic purposes. The management of Don Bosco College, KR Puram, facilitated the event as part of its efforts to support digital learning and faculty development. The college continues to organize initiatives focused on technology-driven education. Dr. D. Raja Jebasingh and all participants were acknowledged for their contributions. The institution plans to conduct similar academic engagements in the future.
