The Department of Commerce, Don Bosco College, KR Puram, Bengaluru, organized its annual intra-collegiate commerce fest Vanijya 2025 on August 29, 2025. The fest featured multiple competitions for students from commerce and other departments.
The inauguration was held at the Auditorium. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by Rev. Dr. Geo Kallandathiyil, Principal; Fr. Santosh, Administrator; Ms. Pooja Eshwar, Head of the Department; and the Chief Guest, Mr. Santhosh Margol, CMA. A prayer song was presented by the college choir, followed by a welcome address from Ms. Anjali Sharma.
Ms. Yeshiswini introduced the Chief Guest before delivering his address on professional skills and continuous learning in commerce. A badging ceremony was also held for the Department Student Wing – MERCATURA, led by President Ms. Angel Jovita and Secretary Mr. Vishal. The Principal then officially declared the fest open.
Events conducted as part of Vanijya 2025 included Chaturya (Best Manager), Arthashilpa (Finance Fest), Udgraha (Marketing Event), Sampatti Yuddha (Commerce Quiz), Nivesha Maya (Mock Stock), and Vikraya Nataka (Mad Ads).
The Valedictory Ceremony was also held at the Auditorium. The session included a welcome address by Ms. Leena, prize distribution to winners of various events, and a vote of thanks by Ms. Neetu. The programme concluded with closing remarks from the Masters of the Ceremony.
