Workshop on Financial Modelling Held

The Department of Commerce at Don Bosco College organized a workshop on Financial Modelling on August 19, 2025, for V Semester B.Com students. The session focused on introducing students to practical skills in financial analysis and decision-making through modelling techniques.

Mr. Lokesh B., a trainer in Financial Modelling, conducted the workshop. He engaged students in interactive sessions that connected theoretical concepts with business applications.

The workshop covered key areas such as understanding the structure and purpose of financial models, applying Excel to build financial models, forecasting revenues, expenses, and cash flows, analysing business performance through models, and using financial data for decision-making. Students also practised these concepts in the computer lab, which enabled them to apply the methods in real time. The Department of Commerce acknowledged the contribution of Mr. Lokesh B. in conducting the session.
