The Department of Management at Don Bosco College organized Biznouva 2024, an entrepreneurial fest focused on sustainability, on November 8, 2024. Addressing the gathering, Fr. Wilson Konthempilly, Director of Don Bosco College, encouraged students to prioritize sustainable solutions for a better future. In his keynote address, Mr. Srikath, CEO of OffiNeeds, emphasized resilience and innovation as essential qualities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Participants showcased their prototypes to judges and attendees, presenting their products’ functionality and potential impact through engaging demonstrations. In the final round, teams delivered comprehensive presentations covering each project’s novelty, market potential, sustainability, and financial projections.
The event included a panel discussion on ‘Innovating for a Sustainable Future: The Role of Startups in Driving Growth,’ featuring Ms. Preetha Martina J, CEO of AIBOTX; Mr. Mohammad Afsal, Founder and Director of Capstone Business Intelligence; and Mr. Vineeth Kumar, Project Engineer at KSCST. Panelists provided insights into sustainable entrepreneurship and highlighted the significant role of startups in fostering growth and innovation.
At the valedictory ceremony, the winning team from Kristu Jayanti College received the top prize for their product, WILMA PADs, recognized for its innovation, sustainability, and social impact. Dr. D. Maria Nirmal Preethi, Head of the Management Department, expressed gratitude to participants, faculty, volunteers, and the college management for supporting the event. She commended the students for their creativity and commitment to sustainable innovation.
