The investiture ceremony of the newly elected student leaders was held at Don Bosco College, KR Puram, Bengaluru, on September 25, 2024. In the keynote address, Fr. Joy Nedumparambil, Economer, Salesian Province of Bangalore, said, “All of you are leaders. More than outward appearances and positions, what lies within a person, attitudes, and aspirations determines one’s altitude in life.” True leadership should be rooted in character and integrity, he added.

In the Presidential address, Fr. Wilson Konthempilly, Director, Don Bosco College, said that everything one does, whether inside or outside the classroom, is a part of the learning process. From that learning, leadership naturally emerges. He exhorted everyone to embrace this process with open hearts, humility, and a willingness to learn.

In the felicitation address, Fr. Dr. Geo Kalladanthyil, Principal, Don Bosco College, said, “Remember, leadership is not about the title, but about the difference you make in the lives of those around you. May you all lead with courage, learn with passion, and uphold the values of Don Bosco College.” He congratulated everyone and wished them success.

At the oath-taking ceremony, the student leaders pledged to lead with integrity, compassion, and responsibility in leadership. Badges were given to the respective leaders. Fr. John Sanjay, Administrator, Fr. Prasad, Director of BISS, Mr. Vinod, Vice Principal, Ms. Sharmila, Governor, SWO, and Mr. Amith John Thomas, Deputy Governor, SWO, were present.
