Guest Lecture on Recent Developments in the Taxation System

On October 23, 2025, the Department of Commerce at Don Bosco College, KR Puram, organized a guest lecture on “Recent Developments in the Taxation System.” The session was conducted by Ms. Carol, Tax Manager at Mos Adam, who has 12 years of professional experience in taxation and compliance. Faculty members and students of the department attended the session.

The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Antony Neethu, followed by the introduction of the guest speaker by Ms. Angel Jovita. Ms. Carol discussed recent developments in the U.S. taxation system, including policy updates, digital tax filing procedures, and the use of technology in tax compliance and management.

The lecture also included a discussion segment, where students raised questions about career opportunities in taxation, challenges in tax audits, and ethical practices in financial reporting. The speaker highlighted the demand for professionals who can respond to regulatory and technological changes in the taxation field. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Neethee, who acknowledged the resource person, faculty, and students for their participation in the programme
