On December 10, 2025, the Department of Commerce at Don Bosco College, KR Puram, Bengaluru, organised an industrial visit to VRL Logistics, Kolar, for B.Com – Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) students. A total of 20 students, accompanied by a faculty member, Mr. Banuprakash, participated in the visit.
During the visit, students were briefed on logistics and supply chain operations, including transportation planning, vehicle scheduling, loading and unloading procedures, material handling, documentation, sorting, dispatch of consignments, and safety practices. The use of technology for tracking and coordination was also explained.
VRL Logistics officials outlined the company’s operations in goods transportation, warehousing, courier services, and supply chain solutions. Students observed operational processes and interacted with personnel regarding logistics practices. The Department of Commerce thanked the management and staff of VRL Logistics, Kolar, for facilitating the visit.
