Research is a core priority at Don Bosco College. The institution is committed to fostering a vibrant research culture that encourages inquiry, innovation, and knowledge creation among faculty and students. The Research Cell functions as the central body that promotes, coordinates, and monitors research initiatives across departments.
DBC believes that research enhances academic excellence and contributes to addressing contemporary social, cultural, and scientific challenges. To cultivate a strong research temperament, the institution encourages interdisciplinary studies, collaborative projects, publications, and participation in seminars and conferences.
To support and motivate researchers, the college has introduced several initiatives, including a Research Promotion Incentive Plan, which recognizes and rewards quality research output such as publications, funded projects, and scholarly contributions. The Research Cell also guides faculty in identifying funding opportunities, developing research proposals, and adhering to ethical research practices.

Consultancy Projects
Don Bosco College encourages faculty members to extend their expertise beyond the classroom by engaging in consultancy projects with industry, community organizations, and external institutions. Consultancy activities enable the application of academic knowledge to real-world challenges while strengthening institutional partnerships and promoting innovation.
The guidelines for undertaking consultancy assignments, including procedures, revenue sharing, and ethical considerations, are detailed in the Consultancy Policy.
Incubation and Entrepreneurship Cell
The Incubation and Entrepreneurship Cell at Don Bosco College aims to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset among students and faculty by promoting innovation, creativity, and problem-solving. The cell provides a supportive ecosystem where ideas can be transformed into viable products, services, and social enterprises.
The Incubation Centre functions in collaboration with the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) to encourage ideation, innovation, product development, and patent generation among students and faculty. Through this collaboration, the institution facilitates research-based innovation, mentorship, and technical guidance for emerging entrepreneurs.
