Don Bosco College, KR Puram, Bengaluru, through its Placement and Career Development Division, in association with Campus Elevate, conducted two interactive sessions under ARISE – A Roadmap for Industry-ready Student Excellence for first-year students on 14 and 19 August 2026. With 450+ students participating, the programme focused on mental wellness, self-awareness and personal preparedness as foundations for industry readiness. The initiative was conducted with the guidance and support of Rev. Fr. Wilson, Rector & Director, and Rev. Dr. Geo Kalladanthiyil, Principal.
The first session, “Growth Mindset vs Fixed Mindset,” held on 14 August, encouraged students to examine how their attitudes towards challenges and setbacks influence growth. Through self-assessment and interactive activities, they identified their mindset patterns and developed personal growth challenges. The second session, “Identity – Who Am I?”, held on 19 August, encouraged students to reflect on self-perception, confidence and personal aspirations while developing a positive and authentic sense of identity independent of external validation.
The sessions reinforced that industry readiness goes beyond academic and technical skills and requires qualities such as resilience, adaptability, creativity, problem-solving, self-awareness and confidence. The enthusiastic participation and positive student feedback reflected the relevance of the programme, highlighting the College’s commitment to nurturing confident, resilient and future-ready professionals from the very beginning of their academic journey.
