On 20th November 2024, students from Don Bosco College visited Grace and Light Children’s Home to celebrate Children’s Day as part of an outreach activity. The group spent the afternoon interacting with the children, organizing activities, and distributing gifts. Upon arrival at the home, the staff and children warmly welcomed the students. A guided tour of the facility, led by the warden, offered participants insights into the children’s daily lives and the challenges they overcame.
The highlight of the visit was an interactive session that began with a self-introduction activity, fostering a friendly atmosphere. This was followed by fun-filled events, including singing, dancing, and a fashion parade, which brought smiles and laughter to everyone involved. The visit concluded with the distribution of gifts to the children, leaving them with memorable tokens of the day. Participants described the experience as enriching and inspiring, emphasizing the importance of compassion and connection. This outreach activity deepened the participants’ understanding of the children’s lives while positively impacting all those involved.
