The Department of Social Work inaugurated the Social Work Student Association, Compassio, at Don Bosco College on February 24, 2025. Rev. Dr. Wilson KD, Director, Rev. Dr. Geo Kalladanthiyil, Principal, Fr. Sanjay, Administrator, and Ms. Nandhini, Founder of Advaya Foundation, attended the event.
The principal launched the name reveal teaser, introducing ‘Compassio’ as the association’s official name. The association aims to focus on social work initiatives and student engagement in the field.
Following the inauguration, Ms. Nandhini addressed the students, sharing her experiences in social work and discussing various career opportunities in the sector. She encouraged students to explore the field and contribute through professional and voluntary efforts. The event marked the beginning of various initiatives aimed at fostering student participation in social work activities.
