Guest Lecture on Contemporary Accounting Practices Held

The Department of Commerce at Don Bosco College, KR Puram, organized a guest lecture on ‘Contemporary Accounting Practices’ on September 20, 2025. The session was led by resource person Mr. Suresh D. M., Chartered Accountant, and attended by faculty and students of the department.

The program began with a welcome address by Mr. Abishek, followed by the introduction of the guest speaker by Mr. Ashwin Sunil. The session covered key developments in accounting, including the shift from traditional to technology-driven systems, the adoption of global standards and compliance frameworks, the role of automation, AI, and data analytics in financial reporting and auditing, as well as the applications of corporate governance and ethical practices.

The lecture included an interactive segment where students asked questions and engaged in discussions, linking academic learning with industry practices. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr Sanjay, who acknowledged the contributions of the resource person, faculty, and students.
