Rev. Dr. Jose Koyickal, Provincial of the Salesian Province of Bangalore, held the canonical visitation at Don Bosco College on 20 and 21 January 2026. The Provincial was received on January 20, by Rev. Dr. Wilson K D, Rector and Director; Rev. Dr. Geo Kalladanthiyil, Principal; Fr. Santosh Stephen, Administrator; and faculty members. An afternoon interaction session with the faculty was held.
On January 21, the formal programme began with an invocation by the college choir. Rev. Dr. Wilson K D delivered the welcome address. Rev. Dr. Jose Koyickal addressed the students on their role and responsibilities toward the institution. Rev. Dr. Geo Kalladanthiyil spoke about the new semester and academic planning.
A cake-cutting ceremony was held in advance to mark the Provincial’s birthday on January 22. Vinod Kumar, Vice Principal, delivered the vote of thanks. Later in the morning, the Provincial met with members of the Student Welfare Office and student leaders to discuss student participation in academic, cultural, and co-curricular activities. The visit concluded after the scheduled meetings and interactions.
