On April 10, 2026, the Department of Commerce, Don Bosco College, KR Puram, organized THIJARAH’26, an inter-collegiate commerce fest with participation from 24 colleges across Bengaluru and nearby regions. Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) secured the overall championship.
The fest was conducted in association with MR Fitness and included events designed to assess managerial, analytical, and entrepreneurial skills. The events were Strategos (Best Manager), Wealth Wizards (Financial Analyst), Trade Trivia (Commerce Quiz), Market Mavericks (Mock Stock), Kryptos Chase (Treasure Hunt), and Élite Marche (Corporate Walk).
The programme began with an inauguration ceremony that included the lighting of the lamp and a prayer song. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Angel Jovita, President of the Department of Commerce. The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Rev. Dr. Geo Kalladanthiyil. Rev. Dr. Wilson K D, Director, and Mr. Vinod Kumar M, Vice Principal, were also present. The Guest of Honour, CMA N. Raveendranath Kaushik, addressed the participants on GST, taxation, and career opportunities in commerce.
The fest was conducted under the guidance of faculty coordinators Ms. Keerthi G M and Mr. Banu Prakash. Student coordinators Ms. Angel Jovita and Mr. S K Vishal, along with B.Com students, managed the execution of the programme. The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony and prize distribution.
